Marcus Bebb-Jones has been sentence to serve 20 years in prison for the murder of his wife. The murder occurred sixteen years ago.
When first arrested Bebb-Jones claimed he was innocent and had no part in his wife’s murder however he changed his plea this year and plead guilty to the charge. He claimed to have killed her while in a stage of rage and then hid her body.
Bebb-Jones played professional Poker for many years and was well known in the poker community and circuit. After committing the murder he went to Las Vegas where he spent lavishly on clothes and prostitutes before returning to the U.k before authorities could place him under arrest.
At the sentencing hearing he claimed to not kill her on purpose and stated that what he did was wrong and asked to be forgiven. His wives brother, Mike Dang, asked the court to impose the maximum sentence and that he has no sympathy to Bebb-jones
While speaking at his sentencing hearing, Bebb-Jones spoke to his wife’s family, “I didn’t mean to kill Sabrina, but what I did do was wrong and I ask for your forgiveness. The judge in turn did sentence him to the maximum amount of time possible, which was 20 years. Sabrina’s father also made a statement relaying the impact this daughter’s murder has had on the family.
