A new form of video poker has been patented by WMS Gaming, a well known software developer on the internet. The new video poker was developed by Allon G. Englman, Dion K. Aoki and Joel R. Jaffe. The description of this new video poker machine is that it offers multiple games at once with customable features so that every experience is always unique.
The patent for this new video poker machine was made on November 2cnd, 2011 by WMS Gaming. The United States Patent and Trademark Office did not grant their request until December 24th, 2013. This is perfect timing for WMS Gaming as three states have legalized online gambling with two more in talks to do so.
The full concept is described as “A gaming platform that offers asymmetric customization options and a special method that allows for asymmetric wagers within the multiple video poker games we offer.”
They continues by saying, “Will be able to offer special and selectable game features that allows for players to make the experience unique, make special wagers that resemble realistic betting and visuals that are meant to resemble a live dealer casino game within being one. Everything on the game is also available for modification which means that you can make your video poker experience unlike anyone else’s.”
Finally they said, “All the game features available in these video poker casino games will be available to players on every game, regardless if they try to remove them from their customization options. The features will always remain.”
