BioShock, one of the most popular video game series during the last generation of consoles could be moving to space in the current generation of consoles. Earlier on this week it was found out that back in 2002 the first demo for BioShock was unveiled to Microsoft, it took place on a space station that was overloaded with various mutants out to destroy you. During the first demo the little sister was still a major part of the game as was the big daddy, except the big daddy was a mutant instead of a man in a suit.
Irrational Games, the developer behind BioShock has said that they plan to revisit the idea of BioShock in space. As of right now BioShock takes place in a city in the skies while the original two games took place in Rapture, a city deep in the depths of the ocean but it was later found out that Rapture was just a snow globe toy in the BioShock Sky City. This essentially means that BioShock could be never ending, constantly expanding on its previous scale.
The community of loyal fans behind BioShock have openly said that they don’t want the game to go into space and that it would destroy the core mysterious elements that is BioShock. The community of fans have said that they’d like the next game to either be a sequel to BioShock Infinite or take place in a city at the core of the Earth.
