Amaya Gaming, the new owners of FullTilt & PokerStars have revealed that their financial expectations for 2015 are not what they once imagined they be & that they’ve had to lower their estimations for this year.
This comes as a shock to many as PokerStars & FullTilt both have been doing better in terms of player activity as well as revenue. Unfortunately the United States Dollar has become far stronger this year which will cause for the Canadian based company to lose out on a large portion of money. Their projected revenues were $1.5 to $1.6 Billion for this year, instead they’ve changed their projections over to either $1.269 or $1.339 billion. This is a decline that causes the company to lose hundreds of thousands of dollars, this is all thanks to the conversion rates.
Amaya is also expecting lower profits for the first quarter of 2016 as they don’t see the U.S. dollar falling in strength anytime soon. Hopefully this isn’t the case as Amaya Gaming has invested billions of dollars into their name in hopes that they’ll become one of the leading operators in the industry.
Though Amaya just did sign on Cristiano Ronaldo for another year as their ambassador. A new set of advertisements are slated with this notable football player. This could drive player activity to a new high which in return would drive revenues up beyond what Amaya could have ever expected for 2016.
Those wishing to play at either one of these poker based casinos can do so today by creating a player account.
